Food industry
The construction of machinery for the sector food processing sometimes involves the need to install motors and gearmotors near the food product being processed. To meet this need, ACM Engineering offers customers the possibility of having all the motors in its range specifically adapted both to comply with the hygienic-sanitary regulations typical of these applications and to guarantee durability and sealing (up to IP69K), when the engines are subjected to washing with a high pressure lance.
If the application requires it, all the motors in our range can be built entirely in AISI316 stainless steel combined with connectors also in stainless steel and silicone seals lubricated with "food safety" certified grease.
Currently our production concerns permanent magnet synchronous motors from 0.3Nm to 350Nm, and "direct drive" motors, also permanent magnet synchronous, with a torque range from 1Nm to 6000Nm. Both types of products can be customized in both the electromagnetic and mechanical design in order to offer the customer the best solution to the different motorization needs.
All our motors can be combined with any power drive the customer wishes to use, or they can be supplied in a single solution combined with power drives thanks to the close collaboration we have established with various leading companies in the manufacturing of drives.
Some examples of customizations carried out for the food industry:
- Made entirely of STAINLESS Steel with a protection rating of up to IP69K.
- Use of thrust bearings for ball screws.
- Flangings in UNEL/MEC or NEMA regulations.
- Products designed for applications with high radial and axial loads.
- Frameless motors for integration into the customer's mechanics.
- Hollow through shaft motors with innovative keying system.
